RecommendedIt was New Years Eve and I could tell the staff was already freaking out. I called that morning to see if we could get a reservation. The girl on the phone, was mildly rude. She told me to just come in, we can seat 500 people. That was said after I asked what time they were open till. She said 5 to 8 if slow, or 5 to 10 if busy. Been going here for like 30 years... The service has always been great, crowded sometimes, though... The food offerings have expanded recently and the addition of prime rib makes this our go to steak place on the weekends... My wife raves about how good the filet and the grilled corn are... The salad has improved also... I'd give Pinnacles a 5 star rating if they improved their wine offerings...vy

The first Pinnacle Peaks I ever ate at was in 1973 in Santee, Ca. It burned down in the 80's and was rebuilt and never the same tasting food again. I just experienced this Pinnacle Peaks in Riverside this week and was blown away with how much better the dinner salad is and their sirloin steak, half BBQ chicken and beans are the best I've had there ever. Haven't been for awhile. But it was really good. I had the center cut sirloin. So good. Best ranch dressing. And the beans what can I say? I don't know how something so simple can be so good. Can't wait to go back.
I've been going to PP since the mid-70s, so it's normal to compare things to the past. The Cowgirl steak is the same size as I remember it. The steak dinner still includes salad, bread and butter, and beans. The motif is rustic, like eating at a cattle ranch. The servers have always been friendly, although often quite busy.
