Well worth the drive up and back down! Haven't been since I was a kid and now it seems even better as an adult. My wife and I really enjoyed the experience. Being from Kansas though made the altitude a little rough on us but we survived.
Just amazing country! I see it every day from a far but now I have seen it up close. Beautiful and breathtaking.
Every trip to Pike's Peak gets better all the time. This is my favorite peak of all the 14teen'ers. Great hiking for the family!! Will be back soon!
First Fourteener since I moved to Colorado and I absolutely loved it! Beware of altitude sickness though. If it doesn't hit you at the summit, you might feel the effects after you get back to lower altitudes like I did. Other than that, the views are truly breathtaking and inspiring. Well worth the visit and fee to drive up!
