Back when I used to see Dr. Pierce, I brought up that I wanted to get tested for autism, and I will never forget her exact words were: "Ugh seriously?! You're like the third person today. Why does EVERYONE WANT to be autistic nowadays??" I later went to a proper testing facility on my own and was actually diagnosed as autistic... I was just thinking about Dr. Pierce after hearing about a teenager struggling with mental health issues. Dr. Pierce treated me for years as a teen and young adult. At the time I was so sick and such a danger to myself. Dr. Pierce was such a calm, caring, and attentive doctor. She saved my life. I will be forever greatful for the help she gave me.
