I had ACDF C4-7 on 6/23/25. I am a retired cardiac nurse. In 2007, I had a previous c5-6 fusion in New Jersey. Recovery was the most painful experience and I was on pain meds with persistent swelling for a year. I was reluctant to do this again. The thorough testing and explanation of why I needed surgery left no way to fudge my way out of this! No promises were made. Disappointed with Dr. Anuj Patel’s Care I am extremely disappointed with Dr. Anuj Patel’s post-surgery care. My mother had surgery on November 22, and instead of seeing any improvement, her condition has actually worsened. What’s even more frustrating is that Dr. Patel has been completely unresponsive since the procedure. We have tried reaching out multiple times, but he has avoided addressing our concerns. After many treatments…such as ablation, PT and injections, I found Dr. Patel. I consulted with six specialists and he was the one! Dr. Patel is extremely compassionate and caring. He is also very confident in his abilities, which is very important to me. L4/5 was fused in 2023 with Patel and C3-C7 fused this past April. The hope is that we are done, but if not, Dr.Patel is my choice. If you seek perfection…choose Dr. Patel and his amazing team.
