I had total knee replacement, and the Piedmont anesthesiologist hit my sciatic nerve while giving me the epidural. I have had severe sciatica for since surgery. I have had to go to a pain specialist and extra therapy. I cannot lay or sit; walking is even difficult.

Disgusting. Charges you separate from Piedmont healthcare for the same services. Completely disgusting.

They don’t file to insurance, don’t answer calls, and don’t offer a way to actually get in touch with them. I called multiple times, once staying on hold for over 90 minutes until the call dropped. I sent them an email, but they didn’t respond. They sent a bill with a way to pay, and that’s it. It’s not the correct amount since it’s not accounting for insurance. They didn’t send a claim to insurance, but also don’t include all the info I would need to file the claim myself. Very confusing and unprofessional.

Prior to my 6/2021 surgery, I called Piedmont Anesthesia Associates multiple times to discuss an estimate of fees. I am a cash patient that, with the proper paperwork, I can receive reimbursement from CHM. My calls were not returned. Almost ONE YEAR after the surgery I received a bill for approx $3200. (A longer surgery that year, with a different anes group, cost $1500.) I called PAA and, again, my phone call was not returned. Billing department is running a scam, adding on late charges and then refusing to file to your insurance. Reported to the Georgia insurance commissioner.
