Entertainment at it's best! They pulled out all of the stops when they designed Philips Arena. I love attending any event here! Located in downtown Atlanta, it is a very nice venue for concerts or sporting events. Hockey games are a blast! Concerts have floor seating as well as row seating and boxes. There is alot of close parking available and many fast food restaurants located within the arena. Also- if you want to make a night of it, you can stay at the Omni Hotel which is attached.
Atlanta's shiny palace for basketball, hockey and major concerts. – The Venue This downtown jewel hosts the Atlanta Hawks (NBA), Atlanta Thrashers (NHL) and the major concerts of the moment. The $213 million domed venue opened in late 1999. The number of seats varies from 18,000 to 21,000 depending on the event, and the wide range of seating options--from luxury suites to nosebleed sections--increases the chances of getting a ticket in your price range. Bargain@any price – The greatest resource at Phillips is the sense of caring and security provided by the people who work there. At the Clapton concert tonight(6-18-04) my friend, who is handicapped, became too weak to walk to our seats. The security people had a wheelchair brought to her and took us to our seating area, providing us with seats easily accessable, checked on us during the concert, and came back at the end and took us to our entrance.Thank you so much, everyone.
Phillips Arena – As a concert venue, Phillips' seats are too close together and the sight lines are horrible. After paying $160.00 for Paul McCartney tickets, I couldn't even see the man and I couldn't cross my legs in the seat, which is unbelievelable since I'm not even 5 foot tall!
Great Food and Value – I like the Nava and Pricci locations in the Bank of America Club in Philips Arena. Good value for the quality of food you receive. Also, the seats were very cozy.
Rock On, Philips Style – This venue is great. I loved the view from the suite at Bon Jovi. Great acoustics and list of upcoming events.
Versatile venue – Philips Arena works equally well for hockey games and concerts. Though its upper seating does remove you from the action (it's a big place), there aren't many bad seats in the house. Its proximity to MARTA is one of the venue's most convenient features. If you plan to drive your car, expect to pay at least $10 to park, and sometimes more.
Philips Arena has a 5 star rating with 16 reviews.
Philips Arena is closed now. It will open at 9:30 a.m.
