I Love the Games Here – When I’m in Atlanta, it’s typically during basketball season…which means I can catch a Hawks game. This arena is great because there is no bad seat. If I don’t get to find out about my travel until the last minute, I can still get a seat good enough to see the game. The prices on beer are very reasonable in comparison to the rest of the country and the arena is clean. Parking is decent and the bathrooms are actually clean, too.

For what it is... an arena... it's not bad. – The old Omni, with it's goofy waffle-iron outside and lack of corporate attachment, at least had some charisma. Philips Arena, yet another venue named after electronics company, still seems squeaky clean and new, even though it's been around a while. I hate seeing concerts in any forum that's bigger than say, the Tabernacle, but in all honestly, Philips isn't that bad. Whether you're catching a hockey game, the Hawks or Pearl Jam, there's hardly a bad seat in the (giant) house. (... read more

New comers! – I got my family some tickets to the Hawks game. As far as the game goes it was a wonderful game. But the bad part is that I bought the Chick-fil-A deal and when we enter the game I ask the lady that took our tickets where was Chick-fil-A and she said down the steps in front of where the Chick-fil-A mascot was standing. So when we went to go into the Chick-fil-A area which is in the CNN area I was told once you enter into the game you can not go back out into that area. I felt like this was a set up due to I ask... read more

Okay place to go for events. – The seating isn't too bad. It's a litte awkward when you have the stage on one end and you are sitting along the side. The only bad seats are in the 400 section. I've attending 2 childrens shows in the past couple of months and am going to a concert in the upcoming month. I was able to determine my seats based upon being here previously. The arena is large enough to accomodate and small enough to not get lost in the shuffle.

phillips is da bomb – jeanettefc1215 you are an idiot. $160 for mccartney tickets is cheap. theres outdoor areas for smoking all over the arena. you shoudln't smoke anyway. big suprise you couldn't see him, maybe because the people in the lower decks were paying 3 times as much. stupid thing to criticize phillips for, next time buy better seats or shutup.

Atlanta's shiny palace for basketball, hockey and major concerts. – The Venue This downtown jewel hosts the Atlanta Hawks (NBA), Atlanta Thrashers (NHL) and the major concerts of the moment. The $213 million domed venue opened in late 1999. The number of seats varies from 18,000 to 21,000 depending on the event, and the wide range of seating options--from luxury suites to nosebleed sections--increases the chances of getting a ticket in your price range. The Experience Flat-screen TVs crowd the concourse with game footage, ca... read more

Bargain@any price – The greatest resource at Phillips is the sense of caring and security provided by the people who work there. At the Clapton concert tonight(6-18-04) my friend, who is handicapped, became too weak to walk to our seats. The security people had a wheelchair brought to her and took us to our seating area, providing us with seats easily accessable, checked on us during the concert, and came back at the end and took us to our entrance.Thank you so much, everyone.

Phillips Arena – As a concert venue, Phillips' seats are too close together and the sight lines are horrible. After paying $160.00 for Paul McCartney tickets, I couldn't even see the man and I couldn't cross my legs in the seat, which is unbelievelable since I'm not even 5 foot tall!

Great Food and Value – I like the Nava and Pricci locations in the Bank of America Club in Philips Arena. Good value for the quality of food you receive. Also, the seats were very cozy.
