Great Service – I came in last weekend with a group of friends and was completely blown away. The service from the moment we sat at the bar to the time we got seated was amazing. The filet mignon is absolutely delicious, the mascarpone mashed potatoes are sinfully good and the tiramisu is unlike any other I've ever tried. I spoke to a woman about the service and she proceeded to tell me about the history of the restaurant and their private dining accommodations. She then gave all of us, after too many cocktails ;), a private... read more
Classy '40s-style American joint where conservative high rollers get carnivorous. – The Scene This place oozes old-school country-club ambience, with white-coated servers and bathroom attendants, black-and-white tile floors and rich mahogany walls with framed photos of past Chicago luminaries. A swanky jazz soundtrack mingles with the soft conversational buzz of a 30-something white-collar crowd. Service is excellent. The Food Juicy steaks, mammoth lobster tails and the like, served a la carte and priced accordingly, plus a ... read more
Warning read all ratings. – Wonderful service, great ambience! Swordfish Special of the day arrived cold to the touch. Sent back and was returned dried out but warm. Ribeye steak, ordered medium rare, arrived bloody on outside, extremelly cold in the center and most certianly raw. Sent back and came back perfectly cooked. One bite and discovered chef had seasoned, make that overseasoned, with salt. Absolutely inedible. Left steat and swordfish and paid bill in excess of $100.00. Enough said: you have been warned again.
Very Poor Service – For a "Prime Steakhouse", they are more like a "Select Steakhouse", sure their meat is Prime, but they do not know how to cook it. We ordered the special filet medium-rare and it came out well. Service is very poor as we rarely saw our waiter. I would not go back again.
classy – the food was out of this world!! every thing was delicious!! on valentines day they greet you with a rose for your lady!!
Impressive – If you're worried about the (previous) service ratings, request Shannon for your server and you won't be disappointed!! The food, although it wasn't what we expected (we were looking for more of an Italian "pasta" menu), was great! The Maryland crabcake was superb!
Not worth the money – The ambience is great, enjoyed the outdoor dining. However, the service and food are not worth mentioning. I had the worst turkey sandwich that I have ever ordered in my life. One of the waitstaff walked out during her shift. And the Walgreen's next door was robbed while we were sitting there. I wouldn't eat there again.
