Always good now that they don't have buckwheat pancakes....
Down to earth place , kinda homey .Enjoyed the visit with the owner . We visited about 1962 , the scary time , Oct 22 , I think ) 1962 to long ago !!
The food was served quick and hat. The German sausage that I ordered wasn't cooked thoroughly through it was still pink on the inside. Overall it's a good place to have breakfast with reasonable prices.

I am pleased to recommend the great food and friendly atmosphere of Pheasant Run to anyone who happens through Hays, KN. My mother, daughter and I were treated to the kindest of service at a time when, quite frankly, we didn't know what to expect as the only African-American patrons in the place. We've experienced alienation before, but not at Pheasant Run...far from it!! They even gave us our meals free--just to show us extra special love!!Thanks to all the great people there. God bless you all.
