I am a building contractor and we sell PGT windows to our customers. Back in the beginning PGT was Vinyl Tech and they were a great company. As what usually happens, someone bought them out and now they are PGT and have gone way down hill. The service issues I have with there windows make it impossible to do business with them anymore. The worst I am a gc and have been using pgt sence they started in business. There customer service went from great to nonexisting
This is the worst manufacture ever. They do not stand behind their product and hide behind the fact the original owners are not there. I was literally told "Doesn't matter how old they are. Read the fine print in the warranty section. Has to be the original owners." The windows are in the warranty period and as you can see clearly are defective!
We ordered 9 PGT 5500 series impact windows from WeatherTite Windows on October 12, 2017. The windows were finally delivered and installed on February 19, 2018. One of the Installers informed us that one of the dining room windows was defective and needed to be replaced. April 4th: new glass arrived from PGT with a different tint then the window next to it. August 10th: new glass arrived from PGT for both upper & lower windows. Upper window glass was wrong size! September 15th: New glass arrived from PGT…again the wron... read more
Bought the best they had to offer and the heat comes with no problem. Direct sunlight on the glass and you cant touch the inside of it. Bad Customer service . Had new windows put in and in and in less than 2 weeks one has a crack. I washed the sliding doors down on the outside and water came in at the top. I would not buy them again.
Was going to buy, but didn't. Customer service terrible. Emailed a question and got a response that suggested I was stupid that I couldn't find the answer on the website. Website displays a phone number prominently and invites customer to call for info. When I did I was told they were too busy to take phone calls and to just email my question. I think the computer folks call that an infinite loop. With that kind of attitude I wonder how they stay in business.
This windows are expensive and we expect quality which we don't get we spent close to 20K . We receive twice windows whit defect panels we are in the middle of installation . PGT customer service sucks they don't want to hear the customer , they only dealing whit retailers . Don't be fouled by a nice window in a show room I'm warning you , stay away from PGT .
PGT dual glazed windows turned foggy. Have been working with PGT for over two years regarding replacement. Original installer went out of business. PGT has sent me 10 different new installers (which I have to pay installers to replace) and none want to do the job. Looks like I'm stuck with foggy windows. Suggest you not by PGT windows.
HORRIBLE! Do not buy windows from this place.
