In the heart of the theater district, lies this classic American restaurant that pays homage to Chicago theater legends. The 1940s ambiance and extensive list of comfort meals (which includes pre-theater and after-work specials), draws both the theater crowd as well as the downtown business community. Don't forget to try the Lemon Sole Francaise in Brown Butter Sauce, or the Prime Club Steak served with French Fries. Weekday specials, including salads, sandwiches, and pastas, are also on offer.

We came in for an early dinner before attending a show, around the corner from the Chicago Theatre. My aunt, mom and dad and I were greeted warmly and attentively, asking if we were on a strict schedule, in order to attend a show. I don't remember our waiter's name, but I believe he might have also been the maitre d. He was very friendly and took our orders, ensuring that he had our special requests correct. Service was quick and efficient, and when we asked for pickles to go with our burgers, he brought them right away. The... read more
I just love Petterino’s. I was there yesterday with six other family members. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I appreciate having them keep our leftovers when we attend a play. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food and atmosphere was amazing. I really enjoyed everything, including the coffee and the most professional waiter!
Sunday Easter Brunch. Food was cold. Had to send back. They weren’t even busy. Lampshades on the tables are stained. Dirty. Gross. Cob webs on the wall shades. Place needs a deep deep cleaning.
Delightful from beginning to end! Pre show, afternoon crowd. Tasty & beautifully disolayed Almond crusted white fish with roasted tomatoes. The flat bread was to die for! Def recommend!
Walked on at their busiest time..no reservation and only 40mins before we were due at the Theatre.. no problem as 2 seats became available within 10 mins... sat down ordered drinks and then light meals.. meals came out within 10mins..service was brilliant..food and wine perfect.,great vibe..
A classic supper club, food & service was wonderful. I never even knew about this place, or that it was a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant. Will go again!
Our server Jacob was awesome. Everyone must not leave until you have at least sampled the tarter sauce!!!
It was 3 of us, we went before our theater show and we were ignored by our waiter!!! We had to ask for complimentary bread basket that wasn’t giving it to us, and when they finally brough it to our table it barely had anything in it. Every time we need it something we had to look for our waiter, he jus ignored us completely!!! We ordered 3 entrees and 3 alcohol drinks between 3 of us and for some reason the waiter had a look on his face like we ordered only 1 dish and sharing. Im sorry but it really didn’t feel like we were ... read more
