Unbelievable , I spend $150.00 there monthly , I usually pay cash . Today I just had my bank card , it's a 40 minute drive one way .... the wouldn't let me use my card because I didn't have a pin # , really? I have my ID, and a card I have NEVER had to use as a pin card . They wouldn't let me use it. WHAT? Say bye by to 1800.00 in sales a year!
RecommendedI have several large tanks with large fish I've raised from fry. This is where I go for quality tank equipment. I've gone the cheap route, and had to do complete tank changes regularly. With quality equipment, I have much less work to do and happy fish. When things go awry, like the kids putting shells from the lake in the tank and introducing parasites..ugh..this is where i head for guidance. The owner knows her business, and has always been happy to give me advice on treating my tanks.

I stopped in today to check the place out and do a little recon to prep for my move into the area with my furbaby. I found the store to be warm and welcoming, and the people friendly and knowledgeable. I was even invited to bring my buddy in to interact with the other animals already in the store. Pleased and impressed!

First time there last week. Have to say, it was a bit disappointing. It stinks a bit like urine and a water dish I wanted to buy had urine in it. Also, they need to consider that some people are very allergic to cats as I am and not let their "store pet cats" sit on the purchase counter right in your face and on your stuff. What I have good to say is that they do have a large supply of things to choose from for dogs and prices are reasonable. Not sure I'll go there again though due to the free roaming cats and the smell.
I live in Merrill. I drove to Illinois to purchase a puppy. I ran into bad weather on the way back and had to stay the night at a hotel. I had no supplies and Pets of Portage was the closest pet supply store. Honestly, I'm glad they were my only option. The owner was so knowledgeable and helpful. She saved my puppy from being sick and probably dying. I will never forget the kindness that they showed to me. I am forever indebted. �
