Dr. Zakow, Dr. Chan, Missy, Sue, and the entire staff at Catawba-Piedmont Cardiothoracic is wonderful and super great to work with. They offer excellent customer care and service. My surgery was totally unexpected and they made me and my wife feel comfortable and at ease through the entire process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of cardiac care. I am so sorry I am late with this...Dr. Zakow did my double bypass almost a year ago...I have nothing but good things to say about this doctor....he really cares about you and does all he can to help you...I would recommending him to family and friends in a heart beat...I was very impressed with the care I got not only from Dr. Zakow but the staff and nurses...they were all wonderful...thank you Dr Zakow and all the staff at Vassar... I'm very impressed with the office staff. They took very good care of me before and after my open heart surgery. Dr Zakow did a great job before, during and after surgery. I had bypass surgery, replaced a valve & repaired a valve. I feel like a new person now. After surgery I did not experience any pain. It's been 17 days after surgery and I feel great.
