Dr. Novak is one of the best! I've known Dr. Novak since 2005. He's done all of my knee surgeries, including a total knee replacement in 2009. I trust him unconditionally. I appreciate the fact that he listens to me and knows that I know my body. My opinion matters when it comes to my treatment. I've recommended him to others many times and will continue to do so. I will need additional surgeries. Dr. Novak is the only doctor I'll allow to do them.
Over the last year and a few weeks, Dr. Novak has replaced both of my hips. Throughout the process he was extremely professional, personable, honest and forthright. Not withstanding his skills as a surgeon, what I appreciated most was his skills in communication. His demeanor sets a person at ease and he explains procedures, outcomes and risks in layman’s terms so that I could contribute to the decisions reached on my treatment. Bottom line...he is very good at what he does. Thank You!
I can't speak for the ladies, but Doc Novak is a guy's kind of doctor. He is straightforward, and projects confidence in his analysis and proposed procedure. He doesn't try to butter you up with syrupy talk but also isn't abrupt or distant. His surgery went very well with me. He uses an innovative cut on the knee that leaves the scar away from the place on your leg that you use to kneel. I don't need my other knee replaced, but if I did I would be back in a heartbeat.
Dr. Novak is an excellent surgeon. He explains what procedure you will need, (the pros and the cons) and has time to answer any of your questions so you understand what is going to happen from the beginning. He is never rushed when you come in for your appointment, he takes time to listen to you. I will recommend him to anyone that is in need of a great orthopedic surgeon.
It was a real pleasure meeting and being treated by Dr. Novak. He replaced my hip, and I feel like the clock has been turned back 10 Years. The consultation was terrific and the surgery was perfect. It has been 2 months since the surgery and my hip feels terrific. There is NO pain or discomfort. He treated me well. I would definatly recommend Dr. Novak. His Assistant Erica is the best. Very Nice!
I have been a patient of Dr.Novaks for 11 years . He has always given me the best of care. He never makes you feel rushed to make a decision about your care. And will be supportive in helping you get the best outcome either surgical or conservative. I am an Operating room nurse and have worked in the room with Dr. Novak, and can tell you that his skill and care are exemplary. I would recommend him to friends and family without hesitation, and often recommend him when asked by patients.
DR. NOVAK came in on his day off to do my ACL surgery, a result of chasing my 5 yr. old grandson down the slopes at Brighton. I knew that he, himself, usually skied on his day off. When I attempted to apology that he missed his daily skiing adventure, he said, "Oh, I've already been skiing this morning." Now this is the doctor you want for ski surgery. He knows how badly you want to be back on the slopes. And, sure enough, I'm back on the slopes, in the pool and in my exercise class.
I felt like Dr Novak was as much my friend and he was my Doctor. I had a hip replacement and he took the time to explain exactly what my problem was, how the procedure would be performed, what the recovery time would be and what I could expect long term. It went just as he had explained with no surprises. In fact, it was much less traumatic and painful than I had anticipated. I would recommend him highly and he will be my choice if I need the other hip done.
Dr. Novak described what was involved with the surgery. Provided good information regarding post surgical recovery and what to expect.. Very satisfied with the surgery.
