This doctor used his control of medication to harm instead of help by suddenly starting and stopping different medications after being initially successful with treatment. This occurred throughout my time as his patient just to have him discontinue services with no regard to the medication plan afterwards. I could have been seriously injured by stopping one medication suddenly, and was sent into a medication induced psychosis with starting too high a dose of another before he dropped me as a patient with no explanation. I had to see another Therapist just to recover from my experience working with this Doctor. First, he overmedicated me. I felt like a guinea pig, trying this medication and that. He finally put me on two different benzodiazapenes, an SSRI and prescription sleep aid. I told him I felt overmedicated and he took me off all medication without a slow weening plan, which gave me the worst withdrawal symptoms ever and then he would have me back on meds again. Unethical and unprofessional. I trusted and worked with this Doctor as my Therapist for almost three years. He led me on. I thought I was in love with him. He played mind games with me. When he feared he was getting in trouble with what he was doing to me/with me, he dropped me as a patient over the phone with no support in transitioning me to another practitioner.
