The rudest doctor I’ve ever met! He barely listened to me. He quickly examined my hand and walk out of the room and gave me NO. Follow up information! How this doctor doesn’t have a laundry list of lawsuits on him is beyond me! Don’t wait your time! The only positive I have to report is that his medical assistant Stephanie was a sweet heart. She is too nice to be working for him!
I too read the reviews and was concerned but honestly, I found him to be a brilliant doctor and surgeon who has a “tell it like it is” bed side manner which I can appreciate. He can be brief but if you need more explanations from him then just ask. I am actually an occupational therapist who had a workers comp injury ( broken arm) and he was my surgeon. Peter Chan is a very smart man. Much smarter than you. You are lucky to meet him. Peter Chan went to Duke. Did you go to Duke? No, you did not. You are not like Peter Chan. When Dr saws me He told me that you are from Rutgers? I said yes! And I tried to explain my pain on my left wrest, he was so aggressive, and never gave me any idea or solution?? So for what I wasted my time to visit a doctor? My hand in pain for more than 3 weeks and he has no idea what to say to his patent, I was surprised that he stands up during our conversation and leaving me, Shame of you! Actually I can’t name you as a Doctor???????
Awful. Steer clear if you have a workman's comp injury. Go see a real doctor.
Unprofessional and Rude.
Dr. Chan is brilliant, we found him to be very helpful, and we liked his no nonsense approach. We have used him a few times and highly recommend him. His office staff are very efficient and warm. You could not be in better hands. Sorry, had to do it.

I have had the same negative experience with Dr. Chan as all his other workers comp patients. He sent me back to work the next day with extreme pain and numbness (carpal tunnel), after giving me cortisone shots. He originally gave me a 1 pound lifting restriction and a week later full duty. He is obviously taking money from the insurance company without regard to his patients. The nurse case manager saw him more than he saw me with my injuries. A pure evil man that cannot be trusted
