Excellent patient skills detailed in explanations and answers all questions I have.
Dr. Alvarado is professional, knowledgeable, caring and a good listener. He took time to listen to all my concerns, address my medical problems and care for me in the best way possible. As a former nurse I trust him explicitly with my medical care.
Very good doctor who listens to your concerns. I trust he has my best interest in mind. Staffing at Thirlby are always good to deal with. I can’t figure out why he has such low health grade, I’m not sure what these people are looking for!!!!!
I am an 81 yo male and have CHF and Afib +++ other issues and Dr. Alvarado is my primary care physician. I have been going to him since moving to TC 7 years ago. He is one of the best I have ever had in my life. He first asked me what concerns I have and listens to me. I do not like to take a Rx drug for every little thing unless necessary and Dr. Alvarado agrees and doesn't just write a Rx for every problem. I have been going to Dr. Alvarado for close to 5 years and really enjoy his communicating with me. He listens to my concerns and explains everything in detail and at the end always asks if I have any questions. Always leave feeling good even when I am sick. As far as I'm concerned he is a great Doctor.
I have a hard time trusting him with my welfare. Does not listen to me. I am afraid having him as a physician may shorten my life.
Does not listen. Has agenda and worries a lot about peer reviews over symptoms of importance to the patient. Not used to this!

My husband saw Dr Alvarado for severe back pain. Dr Alvarado ordered X-rays. My husband waited 11 days in severe pain to hear back. When he called the office Dr Alvarado had not even read the X-ray report. The pain was so severe my husband went to emergency on June 6 he was diagnosed with lung cancer that had moved into his bones, liver and brain. We were told he had the lung cancer for up to a year. Dr Alvarado gave him a physical in February, only 3 months prior. My husband died 26 days later
