Tail clipped off! About a month ago I followed a friends advice and brought my Pomeranian in to Debbie to be groomed. We ended up picking him up from the Steamboat Island Animal Hospital because she cut the tip of his tail off during grooming. She lied saying it was only a tiny piece. The vet tech got the piece out of the trash and it was a half inch! He ended up having surgery to have it fixed. This was very traumatic to the little guy. New Mangement I went into Petco to get my dog groomed. I heard they are under new management and I thought I would give them a try. Robin was outstanding!!!! He really listened to what I had to say and when he was done, I was so pleased. I will go back
Good store, not so good dog groomer.... This place is great for pet supplies, and prices can be good on things when they are on sale. The grooming department is another story. We take our Cocker Spaniel in to be groomed regularly at Steamboat Island, but they got booked up around the holidays and I was desperate to find something quick. I took her in here and mentioned that she had had an ear infection three months earlier. The groomer said that she wouldn't be able to do anything with her ears due to this past infection. Gives you sick animals, my two poor guinea pigs were given to me with mites and I’ve been feeding my money into them when I paid to get them perfectly healthy. Please stop this. I am a teenager who has to pay for her own vet bills and it isn’t fair. To me or the animals
I don't even know why I keep coming to this store. you can only get help if the department person is working. got there when they opened at 10. I wanted my aquarium water tested so I could get whatever I needed to fix the problem but apparently the girl that works in the department, who is awesome, don't start until 1030. WTF! why not put a sign saying fish department closed until 1030. I'm so fed up with this place. absolutely no customer service, I'm so sad because I probably have to find somewhere else to take my dogs now... read more
