The wait to get a simple vaccine was over an 1.5 hrs..Hot as heck in the store, and no clean up stations for your pets if they make a mess...
It says that pet grooming is open till 8, it is 7:30, and the doors were locked. Went inside and asked them why they were not open. Apparently if they don't have enough to do it's good enough to go home for the evening. Pet smart he we come.
I do believe Petco has a lot to learn about there saltwater fish and selection of "coral". Anytime I go in I have to buy the stuff that is about to die just so they have a chance. They need to re work there lighting and be able to maintain the filtration system that they have. I hate when I see a dead fish and they tell me "awww they just came in yesterday." Shout out about the helpful staff at Petco in Rib Mountain! Yesterday I took my 2 cats in for their vaccinations. I have been having some problems with my hip and knee right now, and need to use a cane to walk. I was worried about having to carry 2 pet carriers, and stand in line, but the staff at Petco were extremely helpful. They allowed me to put the carriers in a cart, and even got me a chair to sit on while I waited. As an employee of Drs. Foster and Smith, I was very pleased at the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff!!
Freshwater fish usually look pretty rough. Got anchor worm from this location that killed all my fish. Told staff who seemed uninterested in my issues. Pointed out to staff member the anchor worms hanging off fish in three separate tanks, didn't seem to care. Saltwater fish are always sickly looking and iffy. Make sure to inspect health of tank and fish before buying. Staff most definitely lacks knowledge in their department and seems undertrained and uninterested in helping.
The only reason I gave it a star is becauseyou have to put something to post on here. They dont keep things stocked, the store smells likeca barn, and the groomers are rude in front of you so who knows how they treat your pets when you go.
