I recently bought a ball python from my local petco in Greenwood, SC and it had mites all in his eyes and face that we noticed as soon as we got home. Luckily, we caught it very quickly and got him treated. But when I went back and told the workers at Petco, since he was caged with 2 others, they brushed me off and seemed to not care. And at my last visit they told me that none of their snakes had mites, which was obviously a lie. You need to started hiring people who actually care about the animals they are working with!!!

Not only were several floating on their sides barely alive, one had obviously been dead for quite some time as it had started to decompose. If this fish was rotting, the only reasonable explanation is that no one checks on these fish daily. That means they aren't fed. They may not be cuddly and something you can hold and play with but that is no reason for them to be neglected like that. As a pe... read more
