I needed same day urgent care late in the day, that could not wait until the morning, and I was having no luck getting a same day appointment with my local urgent care facilities. I called the Perlman clinic and they were booked for same day appointments also but the representative took time to listen to my situation, she realized my urgency, and found me an appointment with a physician close to my home, within the hour, and also made sure my insurance was in check so I had no issues when I checked into the clinic. I came to this location after receiving treatment at Perlman’s Del Mar location that was not working and with symptoms that were continuing to get worse. I explained to Ahn Nguyen that the infection appeared to be spreading and that the ointment I had been prescribed was not helping. I specifically asked whether there was some type of oral medication that could help stop it from spreading, and her response was, “that’s not how that works.” The way it was communicated made me feel dismissed and almost foolish for asking.
