My wife Mary had great affection for and owns a compendium of great reminiscence for her times at Pepitos and at Liz Senkyr's home. Great memories of Lupe's wonderful food and hospitality! Super good Mexican food close to home ( Nokomis Neighborhood)
We were lucky to be there at the "very end" the evening of December 31st and to be able to remember literally decades of wonderful food and family events held there. Best wishes to all the staff and family who have had the chance to be part of this restaurant. 😀
After eating at Pepito's for over 40 years I'm sad to say they are closing at the end of the year due to the owner Joe's health issues. This has been one of my favorite Minneapolis restaurants, fortunately their Mexi-Go Deli on Nicollet Avenue will remain open.
