I went there yesterday after hearing a grinding sound when i hit the brakes. After a long wait to be seen and the manager not accepting a question that would save both of us time... another employee answered. Problem solved. After having a service adviser check my car. The brake job would cost me over $1,000. Luckily, i went to my mechanic who did what I needed done. No flushing... no rotors replaced... no e-brakes problem. Pep Boys on Tremont Avenue in the Bronx are staffed by a bunch of crooks. They are very disingenuous; they give you false and misleading information. On November 10th, 2017 I took my car to get a new battery and they stated that in addition to a battery I would need a new alternator. They said it would cost $299 for a Prostart alternator and the labor would be about $300. A Big big Nooooo for this place.The Worst place ever I have came across. Came here for just State Inspection of my Car at 11.15 am its 3.15 pm writing this and still waiting. If I can select minus star for them I like to do it. Poor Service Poor Customer care rude answers from the staff. Past 4 hours getting ans it will be done in 10 mins 20 mins n still its going on.
First they called me and cancelled my reservation because they're not taking any more today but the guy says that I can come in now. Great. I am still waiting, almost two hours, and they haven't even looked at my flat tire yet.
It took 2 and a half hours to get my oil changed. After complaining and complaining they let me leave without paying cause i waited so long.
I left so amazed and puzzled, I go and ask about 4 tires... the kid with glasses looks at me with a stupid look cause he looked either high or stuck on stupid, then tells me, buy 3 tires and I get 1 free and the cost is $300 for the tires.. so I ask what's the total with installation and he tells me $601. What the fuck?? This company is such thieves, never again will I go there... not even for a fuse
30 minute oil change is inaccurate. You will wait upwards of an hour to get your car checked. Maybe it's 30 minutes by the time they get to it so the advertising is misleading.
Sooo disappointed today. Usually it is no hassle here. Not today. I came for an oil change and coolant flush. Had an 8am appointment. Was here prompt at 8am. Decided to leave car and come back after work. When I get her at 5:21pm my car is not ready. It will be another hour and a half. Hour and a half? Are you kidding me? No one bothered to call.
