RecommendedI work here, and I love it sososo much.
They give you the run around, claim parts would be there in 3-5 days. Which turned into 6 days, then turned into 9 days. They couldn’t even find my purchase in their system, with my receipt. (which was 200$) Always heard bad things about pep boys, gave them the benefit of the doubt, neverrrr again.
My brother went in for an oil change and a tire pressure icon was on they said he had a flat which he didn't and charged him $20 for it the very next day the icon came back on and they made us wait like 15 minutes and they said he was all set he went back in the car and the icon was still on.
0/5 Stars. 2.5 hours to get an inspection done, and that was with an appointment. They weren't even busy, and I had people come walk in after I did and were in and out in 30 minutes. Horrible staff, horrible service.
DO NOT GO HERE This shop is what you would expect from a stereotypical mechanic shop. They WILL rip you off. I brought my vehicle in to have the thermostat replaced, which is covered under my car's warranty. Jerry, the manager, told me I could pay for the expenses and my warranty company would reimburse me. I needed the repairs done asap so I trusted him. The total cost was $700 but when I received my reimbursement from my warranty company they were only able to cover $330 of the total cost. lazy... not one car being worked on....7 employees...very rude...i will never come here again....stay away!
I don't write reviews often because everyone has an off day but I think this calls for a special consideration. I never go Pep Boys because I had a horrible experience there years ago but I needed an inspection, it's a holiday weekend coming up and I was out of options. Very pleased with the service department. Being an out of State visitor, they were able to squeeze me in and fix my brake issue. Now I'll have a Safe drive back home. Elmwood location
