Got a metal rod stuck in our tire while driving and brought our car to Pep Boys because we have the Road Hazard on this set of tires from our last purchase. Matthew said he could get us in in about an hour and checked our tire. In addition to the rod sticking out, we also found a nail embedded in the tread. He told us patching wouldn’t be possible and we’d need a new tire, not knowing we had the hazard coverage. Anthony and Jonathan went out of there way to change my battery even though it was closing time I really appreciate them staying late so I wouldn't be stranded tomorrow, I can't thank them enough.
Everyone was nice, but they did a terrible job on just a basic oil change. Poured oil all over my engine, so now it smells like burnt oil whenever I stop. They had to be TOLD to rotate the tires. And then it was $15 more than it would’ve been at the dealership. Never coming here again!
Negative. The lady that helped me didn't know what she was talking about and the young "man" helping her kept rudely correcting her, rolling his eyes an and I got a very high estimate to fix my car. It was the alternator, tires and battery. I would never ever use these people. EVER. I risked my life getting back to my job with a bad alternator. That's how unprofessional they were. Nope. NEVER.
My son took his car to the Pepboys in Buford, Ga a week ago and was told that he had a wiring problem because his dome light wasn't working and his tag light was also not working. I came back from a 4 day cruise and his dome light switch was set to off and I was checking to see if the tag light bulbs were burned out and I noticed that the plug that went to the tag light was disconnected. I plugged it back in and the tag light works now. Shame on you Pepboys for such shameful behavior.
Sat and waited for 3 hours for them to even pull our vehicle in. Was told our vehicle was the next one to be pulled in and NOPE. Someone else's vehicle was pulled in. Watched 1 mechanic smoke about a pack of cigarettes in the time we were there also. One of the service advisors did more walking around in the shop than working. Hopefully we will never have to visit here again, we were heading back home from Atlanta. 3 hour wait for 30 minutes worth of work on my vehicle.
Went in for oil change tire rotation and alignment check. They told me I needed an alignment but they couldn't do it due to worn out front struts. Quoted work at $1000 Took car to volvo specialist mechanic who inspected my car. He said there was absolutely nothing wrong with struts. Such bad business practice. Why do companies do this.
