Best around I think penrose has best food and sevice in philadelphia area.I tell all my friends from out of state about it.If you do not like it there you do not belong in Philadelphia.Been going there for years and will continue to make it one of my top choices.
response to "the worst experience I ever had" I was sitting in the restaurant the day the woman with the screaming child was there. After her child cried and eventually screamed, she turned his high-chair around facing away from her and the table. Her child continued to wail as she and the person with her ignored her little boy. The worst experience I ever had My cousin, my son, and I had went to eat at this specific diner. After we were served our food, my son started fussing because his teeth were hurting. After 10 minutes an individual came up to us and told us to shut our kid up or get out. I was appalled that a person in the service industry would have the gaul to speak to a patron in such a manner, I asked our waitress for the manager and was informed that the rude individual was the manager. Great Diner Food If you regulary attend any Phillies/Sixers or Eagles games you would have stopped at this place. Located at the intersection of 20th and Pennrose this diner has been a South Philly establishment for a long time. Great diner food with very friendly service. They change their specials daily so you never have tthe same dish twice. Some specials also include a glass of wine and dessert with the dish so its an entire meal in one.
