I lived here for more than two years. The building is charming, the apartments are spacious, and the courtyard in the center is a nice hangout spot. The maintenance by Mozart Management is very prompt, and I have never had an issue that hasn't been addressed within an hour or two. They're a no-nonsense company that's a pleasure to do business with.
🎨 artist by nature
The best part of the Pennsylvania is easily the location which is A+. Within walking distance of Pitt campus and also Giant Eagle Market district in Shadyside (If you like long walks). Also plenty of places to eat that you can walk to. It is also right near major bus routes to Oakland and downtown and to Shadyside. Several Pitt shuttles routes also stop nearby and at least one Carnegie Mellon shuttle passes nearby though I don't know for sure where it stops. I recently moved into a one bedroom apartment at the Pennsylvania. I'd say the apartment is a good value for the rent you pay. The outside of the building is beautiful and maintenence has always been responsive, even on weekends. The interior of the place is a little sketchy. They make it very clear the apartment will be delivered "broom clean", but the room was basically a biohazard when I moved in. I had to clean for two days before I could even unpack.
