My dad is still in HMC and the communication is HORRIBLE. I leave numerous messages for the cardiologists working with my dad and never get calls back. Only when I go into his room and demand one come talk to me do they talk to me. The doctors didn’t want my father eating anything after he had trouble swallowing. Then when I’m in there a doctor tells me they’re resuming his diet. He tries to eat and chokes again. The nurse comes in all mad about him eating and I tell her the doctor said it was fine. It’s a great hospital with excellent and caring staff who know what they’re doing.
How do I go about speaking to hospital administration? Already talked to patient relations and she was rude. I have a very ill disabled husband, who came in and was in intensive care for around 5 days. I got a phone call from my ill husband today saying he would be home around 5 or 6 PM via ambulance. I said " WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? He said he was being discharged. I knew nothing about this. I am his wife and sole care giver.
