There is nothing like an extra 110 dollar facility fee just to see a primary care physician for 15 minuets. The kicker is no one even mentioned this facility fee when I signed up to become a patient here. So after 2 months of being a new patient, I have $330 of facility fees on top of what I have to pay insurance and for other blood tests. I love my kids' pediatrician but the "facility fee" PSHMC charges for a regular office visit in addition to the doctor fee is unethical. I've had to pay my copay for each office visit plus over $100 in "facility" ("hospital") fees for each visit even though the visits were regular sick visits for things like ear infections. With a rough winter of illnesses, I've racked up close to $1000 just in "facility" fees for my kids to see their pediatrician. I had two test that I had to be put under yesterday & I was very pleased how I was treated from the admissions staff, the medical team that took care of me before, during & after the tests, the people who transported me around the hospital & I cannot forget Dr Matthew Coates. Everyone was very friendly & curtious to me. This is one of the reasons I chose to go to all HMC physicians & HMC.
