Not a review of the doctor but of the practice itself. Scheduling is an absolute nightmare. Appointments need to be booked 6-9 months in advance. There is no direct phone line to their office, only an answering service who can "ping" them to call you back, which they never do. I have a specialized test in July, and they are telling me there are no appointments available for follow up with any of the doctors in the practice after this test to explain the results. This isn't about the doctors—I never actually saw any, as I wasn't even able to book an appointment in the first place. Rather, the issue lies with the appointment booking process itself. I spent four days calling—making over ten calls in total—requesting an interpreter. Each time, the staff member would tell me to hold the line, leave me waiting for a full half-hour, and then simply disconnect the call. Insane they limit access for PPO patients and require a referral from a doctor when the patient can state symtoms needed for an appointment. Even worse for Penn employees paying extra for the PPO access, having to see a primary negates paying for a PPO. This speciality seems to be prime for Penn to have indentified a loophole to extract as much as they can from patient's resources and time. This feedback is not about the doctors here- the one I was seen by was good and she left the practice but the support staff (especially those who take the calls) could definitely do better. I called in for an appointment and was connected to Courtney who asked me basic questions and preferred location and then put me on hold to go find the schedule for the location I asked for- she comes back and I tell her the dates I would like to be seen, she snaps to say I should have said that when I asked for an appointment.
