While I’m grateful, my injury was nothing fatal or terminal, I had a severe wound that was bandaged improperly where I had to return to urgent care the next day, where the doctor was baffled at the level of care I received and the choices made. The entire wound was reopened, which was a very painful process. I understand it must be very stressful working in an emergency room, but the level of care is not what I would’ve anticipated from a hospital system attached to an Ivy League school
The place wasn't very busy when I was there; I was triaged in about 15 minutes and in a bed in under an hour. Everyone was very kind and I felt like I was heard and got good care.
I had a very quick, positive experience at Penn Hospital ER tonight. I did go on a night with a near empty waiting room. Super efficient process and the staff was helpful/answered all my questions.
