Checked in at 11:48am on a weekday, sat for 3 hours in waiting room. Triage told me I was fast track. Obviously fast track don't mean fast service. New patienrs started arriving. No one seems life threatening and still didn't get called. I walked out and now heading towards front st ER. On the plus side Front end workers were all nice. Never again
There's a reason I don't step foot in this hospital if I can avoid it. The service is terrible and it hasn't changed since my mother died from malpractice at this hospital years ago. Doctors gave my mother a pill and didn't watch her swallow it. She ended up choking on it and suffocating to death because no one was around.
My recent experience at this UPMC emergency department was deeply concerning and far below the standards expected of a medical facility. Upon arrival, I was not provided with a private room or designated space for assessment. Instead, I was required to remain in the public waiting area throughout the entirety of my visit.
