WE WERE ROBBED – On the third day we stayed there, our room was burglarized. They took my roommate?s brand new HP laptop, his Blackberry, his Treo charger, his Bose noise cancelling headphones, and his suitcase. They broke in sometime in the afternoon. I think that it was an inside job because we had expensive electronics lying around in the room for the cleaning staff to see. Great location and customer service – This was my first time to Florida, and some of the reviews I read before I left got me disenchanted. Claims were made that the people in South Beach, namely employees are rude...NOT THE CASE. I found that everyone from my hotel clerk (Jason), to the staff at the bars and restaurants were all friendly. Back to Jason, from the Penguin Hotel staff.
