Penfield Sport and Fitness is the only privately/Veteran owned health club in the Rochester area. Established in 1978 by its present owner, Alan Hanford, the Club celebrated 39 years in business in 2016. We are proud of our facility and of our staff, many of whom have worked here for more than 20 years, several more than 25 years, and two more than 30 years. Our members are the best - loyal, dedicated to improving their health and fitness, and eager to learn new ways to achieve their goals.

I loved this gym until I got banned for suspicion of training my friends. I started my weight loss journey weighing over 250lbs. After losing over 120 I was training for a bikini competition. They crushed my dream 2 weeks before my show. When you join you sign a paper saying they can ban for anything and they have no remorse doing so. I wasted 1000's of dollars and hours of hard work that I didnt have nor will I ever get back for a goal just so it could be taken from me.
