About this business
Penfield Sport and Fitness is the only privately/Veteran owned health club in the Rochester area. Established in 1978 by its present owner, Alan Hanford, the Club celebrated 39 years in business in 2016. We are proud of our facility and of our staff, many of whom have worked here for more than 20 years, several more than 25 years, and two more than 30 years. Our members are the best - loyal, dedicated to improving their health and fitness, and eager to learn new ways to achieve their goals.

Love the place! Being a guy who was an athlete growing up playing multiple sports, I believe The Penfield Sports and Fitness has everything under one roof to maintain my physical condition which helps my overall attitude and personality. I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff is outstanding and the place is very well maintained and clean.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and personal trainers who work with you for amazing results ! This is an amazing fitness club with loads of classes, equipment , and a Pure Salt Pool- no more chlorine in your eyes and hair. I appreciate the neighborhood atmosphere as well.

I've been a member here off and on for nearly 7 years. The staff is awesome. The facility is spotlessly clean. If I was being forced to say one thing negative, I would like more classes, but otherwise, I love this place!
I just joined this health club a couple of months ago after moving back to the area. I love this gym! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The place is huge, I am still finding my way around it and trying new classes in different areas of the gym. They just got some fantastic new cardio equipment- I love the Zero Runner, and the Lateral machines next to them. I can't wait to try the salt water pool!
