Pembroke: Brutality – this place was horrible. single worst experience of my adolescence. the staff were like prison guards with less compassion, training , and professionalism. I was told to take lithium, by my psychiatrist, which virtually every other kid was also taking, like all of them, even though we all had different issues. Helpful – Hello, I don't really get the negative reviews. I went their because I was depressed and feeling suicidal. Don't get me wrong I hated it at the time. I felt alone and unwanted but looking but the helped me so much. They kept an eye on me. The place was safe. This kid got out of control one time and they put him in the room like they have to. Food wasn't perfect but its not a hotel. It's a place to help you get better. They really helped me. I thank them so much.
absolutely horrible. go to McLean – If I could give this hospital a minus I would. They treat you like cattle. herd everyone, give meds and stick you in front of a television. no therapy. food is horrible. i lost 25 pounds because i wouldnt eat any of it. staff is abusive. if you see a doctor you are very lucky. i was there for 3 days before they let me see someone. in addition they screwed up my medication which needed to be fixed. CALLTHEBOARD- Inhumane treatment should be investigated asap – This hospital is horrible! Don't ever go here...Admission guy has a squeaky voice, no doubt hes shackin it up with his bf in the building fo sho. I was not seen till 23 hours after being admitted. Then when the do they meet for 2 mins make in accurate assessment and giving you unnecessary / and or wrong pills. Really helped me a lot – I loved Pembroke, I went to partial tues thru mon and again tomorrow, I'm going to be sad to be discharged, but I'm really grateful to them, especially Julie...everyone there helped me so much...they helped me straighten my sh!t out...already....KEEP THE MEOW ALIVE!
I liked it there – I went there when I was 17 they were very nice . Of course when I was there I hated it but who wants to be away from friends and family ? They got me the help. Needed and started me on bi polar mess . I get along so much better rig my family . People respect me today . They helped me in so many ways I'm so thankful for that
i went to this hospital when i was 15 – she gave me a medication saying it could k*ll me if i got a rash and that it probably wouldnt happen. i got the rash two week after starting the med and almost died. dont go here. dont let your children go here. they tried to give me a shot in the butt because i didnt want to take my sleeping meds at 8pm to fall asleep at 9
