I am very disapproving of how the scheduling and sloppy procedure handling it occurred. I had an appointment scheduled, which was made in person, for pelvic floor physical therapy. When I arrived, I was told THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR ME. I left the clinic, told that someone from the Scheduling Department would contact me. Several weeks later, I was finally called for a rescheduled appointment. Having to return that call was terrible. AVOID STANFORD FOR PELVIC FLOOR PROBLEMS AT ALL COSTS. I am a 20 year old male. I am advising everyone to avoid stanford for pelvic floor problems. Unless you want to make your existing problems even larger. Let me be clear. I am a very calm person. I have a lot of patience and a lot of tolerance. I have never once shown my frustration or any negative emotion to any person, whether a receptionist, nurse, or doctor. Extremely challenging experience so far with scheduling. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been calling for over a month and constantly getting the run around between the Pelvic Health Center main line, New Patient Care coordinator department and so many departments they they keep transferring me to (one time I even got transferred to the GI department for a urology issue and the lady who answered got annoyed with me that I was calling the wrong department). This review is not about the clinic itself but rather the Stanford Appointment Center, which handles scheduling for this clinic. The level of incompetence and lack of urgency we've encountered is beyond frustrating. It took nearly three weeks for the so-called "referral center" to process an urgent referral—one that was marked URGENT and sent three times via fax and email.
