Only got paper on average 2 days a week, try to call and no one answers the phone! We quit getting the paper, by our choice!

I have been a subscriber for over 40 years but this past year the delivery has been so terrible that I am cancelling my subscription. We either don't get a paper or it is thrown anywhere even though we have a yellow newspaper box that says Pekin Daily Times right next to the driveway. we can't even change newspapers because the same person delivers the Peoria Journal Star. Not consistent on delivery!!! Hit & miss. They leave papers outside the ofc for “missed deliveries” so they know it’s a problem.
Peoria journal star is also horrible getting the paper out. I am 77 years old, having a problem walking and this morning my paper was at the end of my drive way. not in in plastic sleeve only with a rubber band so tight you would need to iron the paper to even read it. when you call you get a message and hope that someone answers. I live in pekin and I help pay those wages just like all of you do who get the paper. maybe someone needs to take a look at that including the paper co and the distributing person along with the ca... read more
