A Downtown Los Gatos Favorite – I was surprised to see the negative reviews and felt the need to submit my first ever restaurant review to defend this wonderful place. The atmosphere is casual and festive; the food is consistently great; and even the house margaritas are very tasty, and actually contain recognizable amounts of tequila, unlike margaritas can be at other Mexican restaurants. Horrible Service! – We have tried this restaurant three different times. The first time it was a busy Sat. night and we had slow service and had to hunt down our server to get the check. The second time was a week night (read: not busy), we were seated by a girl who took our drink order, brought the wrong drinks then we never saw her again. Our server, male, took our dinner order and said he would fix the drinks, and then forgot until he brought our food. Our third visit was the final straw. Great Food, decor, and atmosphere. – My wife and I eat here often. Great food, decor, and atmosphere. THere is a nice little bar with lots of easily accesible chips to munch on while you are waiting for a table. Best seats in the house are in the covered terrace facing the main street.

The good reviews are kidding, right? – We waited close to an hour (started at '20 minute wait') for this 'upscale' mexican cuisine, and let's just say I wont be waiting again. The people were friendly, and it was a 'fun' spot (if you like average margaritas flowing, loud drunk people laughing their way through your meal....), but the food was very below par. The steak on the fajitas was way overdone and chewy, and my wife's enchiladas might as well have been from the frozen section at the supermarket.

Fourth Time the Charm – As a resident of Los Gatos for over a decade, I've dined at Pedros on a number of occasions. Each time I left disappointed in the service, the quality of the food or the quantity. I hadn't been since 1999. Times have changed! Had an enjoyable dinner last night. Tried the Tres Pedros enchilladas and was quite pleased. The enchilladas- cheese, beef and chicken were tasty and the correct portion size. In additon, our basket of chips were never half full.
