They are unable to email immunization records, and only give the option for faxing or picking up in person (even when the fax keeps failing). There are free email encryption services available for use, and I find this ridiculous.
First the good. The young woman at the front desk was kind and did her best to be helpful. Also, Linda Donovan, one of the NPs has been my daughter's physician for 17 years and has always been amazing. I'd recommend her despite the practice she's joined. Outside of those things, this practice leaves so much to be desired. They may be open until 5 but they do not answer the phones until 5. Took my son here for his one year appointment and was not a fan. Everyone was very nice but it was dirty, crumbs/dust/stains on the floors. I decided to switch back to our old pediatrician even though it’s far away, and now they refuse to send the vaccine records over to our primary care doctor. I have called and hounded them at least 10 times to get it sent over. Very frustrating.
Nurses and doctors are decent, but billing is awful! My daughter has an emergency and needs to see her doctor, but the office won't allow her an appointment until a bill is paid. I called billing to pay, and they won't speak to me. When I finally did get someone, she straight up hung up on me. Now, I have to take my child to urgent care, and more bills because of it. Thanks Pediatric Center of North Austin!! You sure do take great care of children!
