I have daughters that are patients of Dr. Perel's. Her time management of patients is terrible, there have been office visits that we have waited for well over 30 minutes before she makes it to our assigned room. When she finally arrives her bed side mannerism is completely non welcoming. When it comes to the care, especially the health care for my children I have much higher expectations. I really like Dr. Beth Melin-Perel. She is always efficient and she’s always had great bedside manner and takes her time when she sees my kids (twins age 5 now.) She’s always been spot on when brought in when they were sick and for annual check ups. The kids like her a lot too. She’s really good with them.
Dr. Melin-Perel is, frankly, nasty and rude. When I told her I go to a doctor of alternative medicine as I like to get more than one opinion, she started yelling at me, saying how alternative doctors are idiots, and how I should only trust her. Later, although I told her I'm sure I'd gotten the vaccines required for my university, she said she'll double check because I probably didn't know what a vaccine was. She took advantage of the fact that I'm 18, as she knew I wouldn't talk back or argue.
She is hard core-gets straight to the point. Would trust her with my kids lives and is very knowledgeable. Not great bed side manners, but worth it for great care.
Dr. Melin-Perel is an EXCELLENT physician. She has been our children's pediatrician for close to 16 years. Dr. Melin-Perel takes the time to listen to our concerns & questions. She is professional, intelligent & thorough. She is as thorough when speaking to us on the phone as she is in person. As importantly, she educates her patients & parents. She promotes living a healthy lifestyle. We trust Dr. Melin-Perel and recommend her to any parent seeking excellent medical care for their child.
