I went to Payne Chevrolet Springfield today only to be blatantly misled by salesman Michael Maynard. I was very clear when I arrived: I am not applying for anything, and I specifically stated to him do not pull my credit. I was only there to test drive and get a trade-in value. Despite this, I was handed a paper to sign under the impression it was simply to acknowledge responsibility for the car during the test drive. In reality, it was a finance application.
