I was a patient of Dr MacMoran several years ago and have never forgotten how she helped me come to terms with a problem I had faced all of my life. She helped me see the reason for my mother’s lack of giving or showing any type of love or affection. It changed my life . I will agree with some of the previous comments that Paula can be abrasive and very in your face with her therapy, but it’s not her job as your psychologist to hold down your hand and sympathize with you. Steer clear of this person. She is just phoning it in. I saw here for about ten visits. She had no good ideas, and wasted a bunch of expensive time making coffee and such as that. She is not a good therapist.

Dr. Macmorran is one of the most respectful, empowering, and inspiring doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have been seeing Dr. Macmorran for quite some time now, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Unlike other therapists, she doesn't hold your hand to walk you through tough situations. As I read the complaints against this “doctor”, I am not surprised at all to see that for the most part I am in good company. I was insulted during my first consult when she read aloud the form that I had filled out. When she got to the marital status section (of which I had written the letter “W” for widowed), she said “W...that must stand for “was married”. I’ve been seeing Dr Macmorran for a little over two years now. I initially started seeing her for postpartum depression. She really knows her stuff! I’ve almost never had a trial and error with her, she hits the nail right on the head the first time. I would definitely recommend.
