Dr. Paul was unable or unwilling to answer my questions about a catheter put in at the ER. He interrupted my questions, ignored them or simply left the room. He said that I would need the catheter the rest of my life (but wouldn't answer questions about why or how to maintain the catheter). I left the office feeling shocked, depressed and confused. Went to another urologist who explained things, listened to my questions and was very straightforward. He removed the catheter and I'm doing fine.
Dr. Paul is totally inept. Several months after my father suffered a stroke, Dr. Paul told him that he would have to use a catheter for the rest of his life. This determination was made without any examination or tests. When questions were asked of Dr. Paul, he had no response and appeared perplexed. My father went to another urologist whom performed the necessary tests and removed the catheter the same day. My father has experienced no problems with urination since that time.
Diagnosed with two kidney stones by the ER doctor 3 weeks ago (I had a problem with them 2 years ago, the symptoms are the same). Dr. Paul tried to say my pain was from my back and not my kidney stones because I had back surgery 12 years ago.
