Talked me into carpel tunnel surgery for my pain and complete numbness in my thumb. 1 year later have the same pain and numbness. Even worse now. No folllowup apt scheduled. Called them about therapy and they just said it could take up to a year. I did therapy on my own, and it helped some. Glad I did not schedule the other wrist!!!!Do Not Recommend
Experience was not good. After the first cast was taken off the surgeon handed a family member a couple wash cloths and soap and was told to wash her up and he'd come back to recast. Isn't this a job for someone in the clinic - a Nurse? Medical Assistant? This makes no sense to me at all.
The doctor did not want to hear what I had to say. He made fun of my occupation. He did not care that I have pain. The head secretary/nurse? was also disrespectful. Treated me like a child in detention. Talking down to me, and then over me when I try to explain my situation. This place did nothing but make me upset. Three other doctors feel that I should allow more time for healing before returning to full time activity, as it swells with even the slightest wrong movement or bumping it. My thumb was badly damaged in a table saw accident. Emergency room Doctor told me thumb would have to be removed at first joint. Dr Paul Jacobson had a completely different opinion, and as a result I have 100% use of my thumb. Dr Jacobson was friendly, efficient and answered all my questions. Office staff were friendly and efficient. Fifteen minute wait time was very reasonable.
Did not listen to concerns regarding the patient. Basically left a minor child with very restricted hand movement. Even the PT kept saying something wasn't right.
Great!
Dr. Jacobson saved my right hand, literally! After an infection had eaten the bones in my wrist, Dr. Paul Jacobson successfully removed the infected area (all the wrist bones!) and rebuilt my wrist using a bone from my hip and a steel plate. I now have full use of my right hand. I golf, write, and have all normal feeling in my hand and fingers. Dr. Paul Jacobson is the best surgeon I know, and I have five working fingers attached to a strong wrist to prove it.
