Patsy's pizzeria is a great place to grab a pizza and drinks with friends, and is one of the oldest pizzerias in the entire city. What makes this place a favorite hangout is the delicious pizzas cooked in the classic coal-fired pizza oven. Very few of these devices are still around, so if you want a taste of pizza as it should be, this is the place. A number of fresh toppings are available, including delectable sausage, tasty mushrooms, and of course pepperoni.

If you truly love pizza - you must go here – When my wife found out I was dragging her to Harlem for a pizza, she wasn't happy - but she understood after we got our pizza. I had read about Patsy's on several pizza web sites - and the bar that had been set was high. I was not disappointed. The crust on Patsy's pizza is very thin and is made in a coal fired oven. It is great - it has just enough moisture in it and it has just a hint of carmelization, giving it a slight flavor of roasted marshmallow. The best crust I've had. I ... read more
NY's Finest – I really think Patsy's in the best pizza in NYC. I've been to Grimaldi's, Lombardi's, Totonno's and John's and Patsy's wins for overall taste and atmosphere. By atmosphere I mean all those other places come across as a bit pretentious and full of themselves. Patsy's looks like they haven't remodeled in 70 years and feels like something out of the Soprano's, and there is never a line to get in. Make sure to get a pie with fresh mozzarella - it makes all the difference in the world. I would honestly put their pie... read more
EAT THIS PIZZA – BEST PIZZA IN NEW YORK CITY! I travel from the south just to get this pizza. The crust is as thin as angels wings! Great sauce and killer fresh mozerella! A MUST! It's worth the trip up to 117th st for this local!
don't go to this location – I love Patsy's Pizzeria. My first time was at the upper westside location and I've been to the one in murray hill as well. I wanted to try the pizza at the harlem location since it's the original one. However, this location really disappointed me. The crust was too charred even for brick/coal oven pizza. The mozzarella cheese was also very oily and stringy. We were served soft drinks in disposable plastic cups. During the middle of the afternoon, the service was neither good nor poor. If you want ... read more
Pizza with Pizzaz! – I visited Manhattan last year and I read in a tourist's guide book that Patsy's was the best pizza in Midtown. I had heard New York was famous for their pizza so I figured why not try the best. It truly was the best pizza I have ever tasted! I live on the west side of the country but I would fly back simply for the pizza at Patsy's! Wonderful food from a wonderful city!
One of the best – No frills , just great pizza . One of the last coal fired ovens in NYC ( the remaining ones were grandfathered in, otherwise they are illegal). If you're a connoisseur, Patsy's is amust , I haven't missed a week there in years .
Burned-out East Harlem pizzeria serves coal-fired pies that shine. – The Scene Patsy's has been open since 1932, and its coal-fired pizza oven was among New York's first. But the East Harlem pizzeria now feels woefully neglected, and eating in the decor-less dining room can be a depressing experience. Fortunately, Patsy's pizza is one of the few great pies available by the slice, so quick takeout is an option. The Food Patsy's crust is more in the light and crunchy than dark and sooty vein. The tomato sauce is fresh and vibr... read more
Killer Pie – Hands down the best pie in the city. Can't beat the price. You can park anywhere on the street. Don't bother going anywhere else for pizza.
SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!!!! – My parents went to Patsy's 50+ years ago when they were dating and we're celebrating their 50th anniversary there tonight. The pizza is like nothing you've ever tasted. Thin crust, not too much sauce, not too much cheese, a throwback to what pizza was meant to be before we started adding pineapple to it (YUCK). The service at times is awful, at other times is great. It doesn't matter. You're not only going there for the food, you're going for the experience of yesteryear. The regular menu, pasta, e... read more
