Old-fashioned restaurant, great food, get what you pay for – I regularly eat, and have eaten at Patsy's for over 15 years and have NEVER once had a rude staff or wrong order experience. That's because unlike the disgusting & growing population of "barbarians" invading the neighborhood, I have manners. Understand that you get what you give. If you have a "stink" attitude, you will be treated appropriately. Understand that you don't go into someone else's place and decide that you will dictate how things will be AND have an at... read more
disappointed – Pizza slice was very small, and had mediocre flavor. Definitely not worth traveling for. Staff is very rude and unkempt. the pizzeria doesn't even have a display case for the slices. and the walls are dark and dirty looking. Very disappointed, after hearing how famous this place used to be, East Harlem is in need of a good pizzeria.
Worst restaurant in NYC – Rude staff, incorrect order, further rude staff, delayed correct order, more rude staff and finally a rude manager. Not a place to even try, there are hundreds of better restaurants in NYC.
Good pizza, not best in NY – After waiting 45 minutes for our large pizza, I was slightly disappointed in the amount of cheese on the pizza. The pizza is pretty pricey for the not so large size compared to the other NY pizzas. The sauce has a nice spice to it, but it's slightly on the sweet side. The crust is thin and crispy and definitely not greasy which was nice. I would go again b/c it's a nice locale though would prefer a local pizzeria for a really good slice of pizza.
No wonder the pizza is good – I tried the location in Murray Hill for the first time. My mother had been to the Harlem location in the 1980s, so she dragged me over to the Upper East Side to try a slice. The crust was amazingly crispy, and the blend of spices and cheese on the pizza was perfect. The waiters were a bit jumpy (a broken glass froze the whole building, and our waitress nearly died of a heart attack when our pizza almost spilled), but hey, if you knew their boss, you would understand.
It's ok Pizza – I waited over an hour for a table at Patsy's Pizza. The waiters ( young college boys) were extremely nice and apologetic for the wait. These kids are overworked & recquire more help!! The pizza was ok. The pizza on Arthur Ave at Zero Otto Nuove is BETTER!!!!!!!
YOU DONT KNOW PIZZA TILL YOU TRY A FRESH SLICE OF PATSY'S PIZZA – THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! I LOVE THAT THE PIZZA IS ALWAYS FRESH, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICES AND VERY FAST SERVICE! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHAT A GOOD PIZZA IS! THE SAUCE MAKES THE PIZZA...
Super pizza! – This is an old school italian restaurant...the photos of Sinatra, Tony Bennet, etc....The pasta is delicious. It's very New York. I highly recommend it.
Transporting experience – Yes, it is clearly one of the top three pizzas available in New York, but its location is also a big plus. One of the things I love about going to Patsy's is that it has a wonderful old New York feel to it. The pies are top notch, but the pastas are also wonderful. The service is friendly and not rushed, and the food is inexpensive for what you get. But, best of all, it feels like it is far away from the maddening crowds.
