I was referred to Dr. Sierra due to a problem that occurred with the lens after my initial cataract surgery. Although the lens had slipped, Dr. Sierra did not pressure me to immediately have surgery to replace the lens. Eventually, I chose to go through with the surgery. I am impressed not only by Dr. Sierra’s knowledge and skill, but how she’s excellent at responding to messages and answering all questions. I give Dr. Sierra my highest recommendation.

Yes. Very thorough. Explained procedure and options in simple, understandable terms. Wasn't rushed. Wasn't pressured. She took whatever time was needed for me to understand and become comfortable with the operation, it's possible outcomes (good and bad) and follow up.

I left Kaiser and visited her after a surgery in Kaiser, to fix my simple chronic retinal detachment, damaged the eye's natural lens and its housing/capsule. Because major part of capsule was damaged, I was being offered nightmarish and spine-chilling options, possibilities and complications while talking to Kaiser's anterior segment surgeon. Excellent doctor/surgeon! I had elevated scarring on my left eye, and she did a great job smoothing the surface surgically, and checking that the healing was going well. She also informed me to test for glaucoma yearly due to large optic nerves (something another eye doctor failed to mention). Under her care, I always felt confident in her wealth of knowledge. Some processes could be explained just a smidgen better, but when I knew what to ask, she always has satisfactory, informed answers.
ON March 19, 2015, Dr. Sierra, M..D. re-did our mother's (89 Years of age) right eye Cataract which was incorrectly done in Napa, CA. Because the operation was so complex due to the original (Napa) botched process, Dr. Sierra, M.D. collaborated with an associate Retina Specialist. Our mother is alive and well with excellent vision and will be celebrating her 90th Birthday on March 01, 2016.
