I wish I would have read the reviews before I saw Nurse Patel. She is the absolute worst practitioner I have ever seen. She prescribed a med that cost $943/month instead of prescribing me the med I wanted to be put back on which cost $12/month. She has an agenda and it's not helping patients.
She is the worst mental health professional I have ever seen. She did not take my concerns seriously and was disrespectful and rude. If you are thinking of seeing her, run!
I seen her for my issues with severe anxiety ( I never leave my home, unless I have to ). I told her about my traumatic childhood, and she treated me as though I was lying, and she said " I just don't understand why ". I left her office upset. Keep in mind, I've had these issues with anxiety for over 25 yrs., and I thought it was time to do something about it. I never expected to be treated that way, and no one should be.
A horrible Doctor she needs to retire. I will never go back and she actually moved up north cause she was so bad. If she comes back to Hattiesburg... run!
If there was a number below 1, she would get it. DO NOT take your child/teen/young adult to this person. My son came away from his visit filled with anxiety, guilt and self-loathing. After seeing her, he refused to ever go to another psychiatrist. He died by suicide.
