Please, just go somewhere else, get a second even third opinion. I went many years ago and he suggested surgery. I decided to go back last year since my regular orthopedic doctor changed location and specialty, who BTW never mentioned surgery. I should have left when I heard the person before me never showed up for his surgery. My botched surgery. Can't wear closed back shoes and my one foot is huge and in pain. I had the worst experience with this doctor, I took my brother to him and he was in a hurry and was laughing for no reason while he is telling us that he can’t do much for us. He is the worst doctor I have ever seen. My brother kept crying as he felt that his doctor didn’t give him the proper attention and didn’t feel his agony. Don’t go to him ever.
Awful, awful doctor. Had issues with my foot and after the first surgery he recommended failed he told me to just wait until it had to be amputated because nothing else could be done. He Insisted I'd have to have it amputated soon. Right after delivering that devastating news to me I overheard him complaining about his fantasy football league to a coworker. I decided to find someone more professional. Went to a surgeon at Boston Medical Center who operated on it and the surgery was a complete success. Dr. Patel is a joke.
